What’s so BAD about FAT?
Fat contributes to the highest calorie count (9kcal/g) as compare to carbohydrate (4 kcal/g), protein (4 kcal/g), and alcohol (7kcal/g). Excess fat intake from the food that we consumed, that’s not being used by your body as energy, will be stored in adipose (fat) tissues, resulting in weight gain.
Fats have gained their bad reputation for centuries, not only because they contribute negatively to your look, but also how it changes your body and increases your risk for chronic diseases.
Surely there are ‘good’ fats which can be found in foods such as olive oil, avocados and salmon, but ‘bad’ fats are even more commonly found in our modern diet.
For instance, saturated fat, which is present in meat and dairy products, increases our total cholesterol level. Trans fat in fast food increases your LDL (Low Density Lipoprotein) ‘bad’ cholesterol and lowers your HDL (High Density Lipoprotein) ‘good’ cholesterol. All of which increases your chance of getting high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke.
KEY Ingredients & Benefits
Chitosan
Chitosan is derived from chitin, which can be found naturally in shell of crabs and shrimp. It is well-known for its ability to bind and trap dietary fat, preventing fat absorption by our body and finally leads to fat excretion. This process helps with weight management goals without caloric restriction.
In addition, Chitosan has been reported to have cholesterol (and blood lipid) lowering effects.
Chitosan is recommended to be consumed before meals that contain high saturated and trans fat, such as fatty meats, dairy and deep-fried food.
Psyllium Seed
Psyllium seed is a type of natural dietary fiber that provides multiple health benefits.
It can act as a bulking agent that expands in your stomach when come in contact with water, making you feel fuller and suppresses your appetite, preventing over-eating.
With its high fiber content, it also promotes healthy bowel movement and eases constipation by softening the stool, improving our overall digestive health.
Fructo-Oligossacharides (FOS)
FOS is naturally found several plants such as onion, chicory, garlic, asparagus and many more.
It is considered as a type of non-digestible fiber that contributes to a little sweetness, without any caloric contribution.[i]
As a prebiotic, it stimulates the growth of " beneficial" bacteria. In return, it relieves constipation and irritable bowel, promoting colon health and boosts your immunity all at once.
Experimental Results*
*The experiment is a stimulation of how Chitosan works, and not what is happening in our stomach.
Step 1: Borsch Med Bind&Block FAT is added to the bottle (left).

Step 2: Same amount of mayonnaise is being added to both bottles.

Step 3: Chitosan in Bind&Block FAT binds to fat from mayonnaise, the fat layer gets separated from water.

User Study Results
A one-month user study on 20 panellists (across different age and gender) has shown positive effects on:
- Softening of stools
- Weight loss#
- Increased in body's metabolism
- Sense of fullness, thus reduced food intake

Graph 1 (above): Average weight loss among users increased significantly over the 1 month period, with an average weight loss at the end of 1 month's trial to be 2.83kg.
